Sample Wedding Day Timelines

Couples have often seen photographers at their friends weddings, but never had one follow them around for the entirety of their day snapping away. They often reach out to wanting to understand the big picture of how photography will fit into the wedding day. When should they leave time for photos? How much time should they leave? When we as photographers arrive? What are we doing at various parts of the day?

The good news is that we always build our own photography timeline around your plans for the wedding. We are there to work around you and let you enjoy your wedding, not drag you into taking photos every step of the way We will ask you about the timings and locations of hair and makeup, ceremony, and the reception then will plan out the photography aspect of the day as it best fits.

To give you an idea of what the wedding day schedule will look like, below are a pair of samples timelines. One is based on having the ceremony at the venue with the first look and the other is having the ceremony at a church without a first look. All the exact times will vary based on your plans, but they should be helpful to give you an idea of how long everything tends to take and what we are doing in terms of photography each step of the way.
